The CQ3NB series  triplex single acting mud pump made by Shandong Changqing Petroleum Hydraulic Machinery Co., ltd, is a combination of the basic theory of reciprocating pump and the practical condition of oil exploration at low altitude in China. It integrates the advanced structural design and the adaptability to operating environment, reflecting the guiding idea of “properly increasing the stroke, reasonably reducing the rated pump speed, improving the suction behavior and extending the life expectancy of the components”. It features high rate of work, moderate weight, ample intensity and good sealing, and is a pump belonging to the intermediate speed series with Chinese characteristics. When the mud ratio is not more than 1.5, the altitude is not more than 500 meters, the length of suction pipe (diameter250~300mm) is within 2.1-3.8 meters, and the stoke rate is between 96-120 per minute, it features natural suction with the rate of work between 0.9-0.95.Charging pump is a must when the mud ratio and altitude are at extra high level and the suction pipe is of over length.

Common features of this series of drill pumps:

1. It takes the lead among the domestic products, in adopting the whole forging with a vertical structure ,as well as the integrally forged discharging pressured plusation dampener, with small clearance volume and pressure fluctuation, high suction rate and good sealing property.

2. It is the first to, compared with other similar domestic products, replace the integrally forged coreless bent axle with the stereotyped crankshaft structure of forged straight axle and eccentric wheel. This brings economic effectiveness, stable service behavior and convenient maintenance.

3. New types of spray pump, which can turn in both directions with good performance, are used to cool, flush and lubricate the pistons and cylinder sleeves. Latest types of resilient, corrugate piped reciprocating shaft sealing devices are used to replace the commonly used old typed packing sealing so that the sealing is more reliable with a longer service time.

Drill pumps of this series are all composed of two parts, the power end and the hydraulic end. The power end includes the pump base, pump shell, driving shaft, crankshaft, gear pair , connecting rod and crosshead; the hydraulic end includes the high pressure valve box, discharging manifold assembly and the suction manifold assembly

The herringbone gear, bearing, crosshead, guide plate and sliding plate etc at the power end are enjoying splash lubrication and forced lubrication so that the transmitting parts operate safely and reliably.

It has been proved in practical application that the guiding designing idea of the drill pumps of this series is in line with the practical conditions of the oil exploration regions. They have unique design features, with the indicators of the technical features up to international standard and enjoying a high level of standardization and universalization. They are the first array of “intermediate speed” series of high power drill pumps designed and manufactured by the Chinese people themselves and have made a major contribution to speeding up the great cause of oil exploration and drilling.
